About QuidCompass

QuidCompass helps UK millennials and Gen Z make confident money decisions — honest, jargon-free guides to investing apps, ISAs, SIPPs and everyday savings. We exist to give the plain, straight answer you actually searched for, and to say clearly when something isn't worth your money.

Who's behind QuidCompass

QuidCompass is founded and edited by Abhishek Sharma, with guides also published under the QuidCompass Team byline. Every article carries the name of the person or team accountable for it, and you can see who wrote what on each article and on our author pages.

How we research our guides

We build every guide from primary sources — providers' live pricing pages, terms and help-centre documentation — alongside reputable references, and we date every figure so you can see how current it is. When rates or rules change, we go back and update the piece.

We name the downsides, not just the upsides, and where a better option earns us nothing we still recommend it and say so. We don't fake hands-on testing: where we haven't personally used a product, we tell you the review is research-based rather than pretending otherwise.

How we make money

Some links on QuidCompass are affiliate links — a provider may pay us a commission when a reader signs up, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide our rankings, and several of our top picks pay us nothing. See our full affiliate disclosure for details.

What we are not

We are not financial advisers, and nothing on QuidCompass is personal financial advice or a recommendation for your specific situation. Our content is educational, to help you research your own decision — and investing always carries risk, so your capital can go down as well as up. For advice tailored to you, speak to a qualified, FCA-regulated adviser.

Spotted something out of date?

Rates and rules move fast. If you find a figure that's slipped out of date, tell us and we'll check and fix it — accuracy is the whole point.
